Recorded after the reunion of Focus and the release of the Focus 8 album in 2002, Focus 8.5 represents a fresh sound for the veteran Dutch legends. 
 
The line-up features THIJS VAN LEER, PIERRE VAN DER LINDEN, BOBBY JACOBS and JAN DUMÉE and the sessions were recorded in between South American tour commitments during 2005.
 
The album features Brazilian musicians including ARTHUR MAIA and MARIO SEVE joining Focus on recordings, and vice versa, plus a drum duet with MARCIO BAHIA
