Depending on which version of musical history you believe, Black Sabbath invented heavy metal. Black Sabbath - The Day I Was There tells the band's story in the words of over 250 fans.

Sabbath's first six albums remain classics of the heavy metal canon, and the band's dabblings in drugs and demonism, coupled with innumerable line-up changes, feuds and comebacks make for a fascinating read.

Black Sabbath have become national treasures and lead singer Ozzy Osbourne a candidate for knighthood. Not bad for a bunch of lads from Aston.

Hardback.
