Allied With Nature is an ambitious and deeply human collaboration between guitar innovator Jack Jennings, violin master Omar Puente, the remarkable rhythm section of Domenico Angarano and Arthur Newell, and the natural world itself. 

 

At its heart lies a dialogue: between Indian Classical ragas, Cuban jazz phrasing, jazz-rock textures - and the authentic voices of nature (captured by renowned field recordist Martyn Stewart OBE). 

 

The album does not simply overlay bird calls or jungle sounds as decoration. Instead, nature’s voices are woven directly into the improvisations, shaping and reshaping the music in real time. 

 

By any measure, Allied with Nature is a rare kind of album.
